What to expect
My treatments tend to have a holistic approach by aiming to improve the tissue’s general condition, removing tension and exploring alternatives for self care. I like to make use of various sport & remedial massage techniques to get the desired results for my client, but most of my work involves considerate use of deep tissue massage as I find it highly effective in tissue restoration.
Biography
Many years as a professional athlete (representing South Africa’s figure skating team) have taught me about the importance of body maintenance through massage to enhance fitness and performance, while reducing pain and the risk of injury. While qualifying as a massage therapist, I also completed my advanced Yoga teachers training. The practice of yoga is another approach helping to improve your posture, reduce tension and increase your sense of well-being. It is a fantastic adjunct to any manual therapy.
I enjoy being involved with providing preventive and rehabilitative therapy to athletes and non-athletes alike, while collaborating with physicians, athletic trainers and others in a holistic care program.
